It was reported on Twitter and retweeted by Eric Hansen that JR Sandlin would join the Notre Dame football staff.
Sources tell us former Alabama and Tennessee recruiting asst JR Sandlin will join the Notre Dame staff in a similar capacity.

Who is JR Sandlin? Well, here is his bio from his short time with Tennessee. It's unclear as to exactly why Sandlin left Tennessee, but the job itself is fairly low on the totem pole.
Notre Dame has released nothing official yet. It is interesting that Sandlin had seemingly great success at Alabama and then moved onto SEC rival Tennessee, and now moves on to Notre Dame. It makes me wonder what kind behind the scenes conversation was had between Brian Kelly and Butch Jones- if any at all.
