On Friday night, Notre Dame and Adidas (its apparel provider) unveiled the uniforms that the Fighting Irish will wear for its night game against Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Let’s have a quick look at these, and provide a little perspective:

Despite hopes that Notre Dame would have their helmets more resemble the picture from a few weeks ago, this whole outfit is almost exactly what I had pictured in my mind. This is more of the “classic” look as opposed to “new-aged retro” look that is becoming more and popular.
I love them. I love them so much, I will give the white shoes a pass.
I know that there are some out there that will straight up bitch about anything, and when it comes to change; their voice gets even louder. However, the perspective to keep, is that this is for ONE game this season. We aren’t putting shamrocks on the helmets for every game. We aren’t wearing green for every game. We aren’t wearing white shoes for every game. This is just how sports teams are ran. The “alternative” jersey is a big thing across all of sports at every level. Enjoy them for what they are. A break from the norm. A splash into the pool of cool.
