Welcome to Bagpipe Monday on Subway Domer. Friends, there comes a time when one must throw out everythig they have known about football, and Notre Dame in particular, and look at the program in an entirely new light. For whatever reasons, I think the football program at Notre Dame is trying to kill me. How else can we explain the last two weeks, or the last two decades for that matter.
I can really sympathize with those Irish fans that want ND to join a conference. Here we are in week 2 and really any hopes of even making a BCS game are right out of the window. What else is there to play for? Pride? I’m tired of that shit. There is no pride anymore; only seasons of discontent, of disappointment, and of excuses.
Something has to change, but I have no idea on what or how. Fifteen games in to a new coaching regime is not anywhere near enough time to say we should fire Brian Kelly. So, other than that, I am as lost as the next person.
It sucks to be us right now.
