Notre Dame football tickets remain #2 in TiqIQ Top 25

The Notre Dame football program is currently ranked 16th in the country, according to the Associated Press. The Fighting Irish, however, have a much better ranking for the average price of tickets on the secondary market. Notre Dame football tickets rank second on TiqIQ’s Top 25 with a current average price of $217. However, that is down 5% from last week, though Notre Dame sits comfortably above Georgia, the No. 3 team on the list. Only the $249 average price for Ohio State football tickets are more expensive.

Notre Dame opened its season at home this past Saturday with a convincing 48-17 win over Rice.  Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson made a memorable return to college football with 336 yards of total offense, throwing for 295 yards and two touchdowns and adding three rushing scores.  Golson missed all of the 2013 season due to academic issues.

The next game on the Notre Dame football schedule is a matchup with the rival Michigan Wolverines. The game will be played on September 6 at Notre Dame Stadium in one of the most expensive college football games of the year. The game has an average price of $419.13, the second most expensive college football game all season. Currently only a November matchup between LSU and Alabama is more expensive.

Other interesting games on the Notre Dame football schedule include games versus the Florida State Seminoles, Arizona Sun State Devils, USC, and Louisville as the Fighting Irish look to become again serious contenders for the National Title.
