The spoiler turned out to be Zack Martin. It was all set up for Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys to take Johnny Manziel in the first round of the NFL Draft, but a solid offensive tackle from Notre Dame named Zack Martin got the call.
Martin was the 16th pick overall and the first Irish player selected in the 2014 draft.
