The Irish will be there for 4 days before returning to Notre Dame for the remainder of fall camp. Brian Kelly stated that he has done this before
#NotreDame HC Brian Kelly said that he did something similar at Cincinnati and "it played a huge role in the success of our team."

This not anything new for the Fighting Irish Football program, but it hasn't been done since Lou Holtz was pacing the sidelines in the mid-nineties
@GaryPaczesny @okerland @TheSubwayDomer yes. holtz in '95 and '96 took the team to culver. scroll 3/4 here: http://t.co/B7imCOy6iG

After a year in which the Irish lost several big time leaders and captains to graduation (Te'o, Lewis-Moore, etc) perhaps Brian Kelly is reaching into that old coach's bag of tricks to try and find out who is going to lead this team on the field.
If Notre Dame wants to continue its climb back to the top of the college football mountain, it's going to need those leaders to help guide this team and help continue the evolution and development of the program, all while under some of the most scrutiny and brightest lights in college football.
