Notre Dame dictated this epic road battle to Oklahoma and allowed the Sooners to play right into ALL their strengths. "Come on into the Red Zone Landry Jones, it's O-K." BAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Is it my goal to make this the least professional post of my 16 month blogging career? YUP!!
I can't put on a keyboard or into words how fullfulling it has been to watch, follow, study, and cheer on the 2012 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I'm sure it's cool and all to follow a team with a preseason Top 5 ranking take care of business and win a National Championship, but to watch an UNRANKED team take on all comers for 8 consecutive weeks and send them home with their tails between their legs is a special feeling. This team is NOT supposed to be 8-0. This team is NOT supposed to have a Heisman contender. This team is NOT supposed to outrush Top 10 teams on the road. Guess what?? They have done all those things with an emphatic "How Do You Like Me NOW!!!" mentality. Amazing
Seriously, I'm throwing on a decent shirt and heading out for some late night cocktails with friends and more to celebrate this game. If you're an Irish fan, PLEASE find a a way to celebrate this game in some way, shape or form. This night is why we cheer, follow, read, click, comment, predict, and plan our weekends around kickoff. Bask in the glory and rub it in noses.
Notre Dame is undefeated in Week 9 and a legit Top Five team.
