Matchup Vs Stanford Is Most Expensive Remaining Game On Notre Dame Football Schedule

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-0), who rank 9th in the most recent AP Poll, will face their toughest challenge thus far when they host the Stanford Cardinal (3-1), who rank 15th. Notre Dame is coming off a very sloppy 31-15 road victory over the Syracuse Orange. Quarterback Everett Golson threw for 362 yards and four touchdowns, but also committed two turnovers. Notre Dame used an army of running backs to gash Syracuse’s defense for 161 rushing yards. Notre Dame’s defense did allow 294 passing yards, which may be an issue against Stanford’s offense that boasts an explosive playmaker in wide receiver Ty Montgomery. This rivalry game will be Notre Dame’s most popular home game during its 2014 season and will feature the most expensive ticket prices on the secondary market.

According to TiqIQ, the average price for Stanford vs Notre Dame football tickets is currently $254 on the secondary market while the get-in price for the game is $109. This matchup features the highest ticket prices for any remaining home game on the Notre Dame football schedule.

While Stanford is traditionally known for its strong rushing attack, its defense has been dominant thus far. Stanford is allowing an FBS-low 198 total yards per game and its defense is scoring 6.5 points per game. Stanford’s offense hasn’t been nearly as good as the defense so far this season. Stanford’s offense is averaging 27.5 points per game, which is second worst among PAC-12 teams. Quarterback Kevin Hogan threw for just 178 yards and one touchdown during a close 20-13 victory last week over the Washington Huskies.

Secondary market ticket prices will remain high for this rivalry game as Notre Dame looks to avenge last year’s 27-20 defeat. Stanford has won four of its last five meetings against Notre Dame.
